That is entirely true, its just really hard to go to work every day when he makes more in one day than I or my co-workers do in an entire month ...especially after he announces that the staff will not be getting any pay increase for the year, after all, "we all need to make sacrifices for the ministry"

Mike Novak makes more on his two week vacation than I do for a full year of work.

How likely is it that ALL OF YOU could "band together" and present to him a sincere, humbly-worded letter, expressing your concerns? Or, instead of to him, how about to the Board? I can see a salary of $100K for a large organization like that, but over $400K? WOW! Put that $300K back into the ministry. Seriously. Give the employees a raise to a more livable wage.

1TIM 5:17~18 "Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine. (18) For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer [is] worthy of his reward."

The Scripture says "Double honor"... so if the highest-payed "rank-and-file" person is making $50K, then the top guy should "only" be making $100K. That sounds MUCH more fair than $400K!

I have been sincerely praying for K-Love since they signed-on in the NYC area. I will continue to pray for them, that God's Holy Spirit will CONVICT those who need conviction, and set things RIGHT not only in the eyes of Man, but in the eyes of GOD.

You're just more likely to get it on the East Coast.

We are seeing jealousy and envy riding high in our culture... Chrisitan's now are in the game of "If you make more than me, then you're too rich"... Check your hearts and motives.. And the LARGE responsibilities the head of EMF has, is greater than some for profit companies.. He's got more on his plate than 95% of us could EVER handle... That's the board's job to set the rate of pay, not ours! Geez? A good leader can bring people up, if they are in the civic, public, corporate, for profit, not for profit or gov't realm..... Like those kids protestin' on Wally World Street.. They don't get it, but I defend their right to protest and gather in a non-militant way.. But, do they know 70% of the stock represented in that building are in common folks 401k's, retirements, and other holdings? I don't think so.. If that goes, you'll see a depression that will make the great depression look like a small bump in the road... We are fallin' for the winds of the day, even in the way we deal with a group that has to do it's own reflection on the way it operates.. We are not on their board.. We can listen, support or choose not to... :
