K-LOVE is off and on today

K-LOVE has been off for most of the morning, not just on WKLV 95.5, but even on the K-LOVE stream, which is also the national feed. Also, it appears that they're trying to add "traffic updates" to the network because I've been also hearing traffic updates periodically interrupting songs when the network's feed was online. One of them was for Florida, and I think another one was for Wisconsin. Additionally, I also heard another traffic update mentioning Air1 as well, so they might put the traffic updates on there too, soon.

Actually K-Love now does "local feeds" for those folks who are in larger markets that it can "geo-locate' you via IP. The "national feed" is swapped out for a localized feed (as you would hear on FM with local Legal ID). You only get the "national" feed on the K-Love stream if you are in a market they are not doing a localized stream.

Noticed this with Air1 (localized feed), but even way up here in Idaho, the hourly ID was for KAER 89.3 Mesquite/Las Vegas. That's almost 600 miles from my location. I assume once I move back to Yakima WA this week, the Air1 feed will change back to "KHRI Hollister" like the satellite translator they have on 89.9.

It's not perfect - they use geolocation technology to determine where your listening to the stream from if your using the mobiel app on a phone sometimes your cell phone provider's IP address that is shared with thousands of customers is out of sttate. I routinely hear "ads" for Detroit on streaming with my T-Mobile device. (I'm over 200 miles from there).
