K-Love Music Awards

A few months ago, iHeart held its annual music awards, and today I got word that K-Love held its own music awards show.

Here's some info:

About The K-LOVE Fan Awards:
The K-LOVE Fan Awards mission is to create a fan experience that celebrates and promotes artists,
athletes, authors and entertainers who, with excellence, engage and impact popular culture for Jesus
Christ. This year’s show will be hosted by K-LOVE Fan Awards’ winners Mandisa and Matthew West.
The annual awards show is a John Sanders LLC production presented by Coca-Cola Consolidated.

About K-LOVE:
The K-LOVE Radio Network creates compelling media that inspires and encourages you to have a
meaningful relationship with Christ. With 531 total signals in 48 states, K-LOVE is enjoyed by millions
of people across the country every week in markets including New York City, Chicago, Nashville,
Philadelphia, Miami, Denver and many more. The K-LOVE Fan Awards mission is to create a fun,
unique and meaningful fan experience that celebrates and promotes artists, athletes, authors and
entertainers, who, with excellence, engage and impact popular culture for Jesus Christ.

There will be a TV broadcast of the awards show next Sunday night on TBN:

My wife listens to K-Love and IMHO it is the same crappy junk music that permeates regular pop music with the exception of the wording.

I'm curious to know what those of us who despise K-Love consider to be good Christian music.

BBN sounds good when I can find music on their stations.

And not everything on K-Love is bad, to me, since I was in a garage waiting for a tire to be replaced and it was playing. It didn't sound bad at all, but it didn't sound like the junk on today's AC radio, which is what my experience with K-Love has usually been.

I tried this one station I wasn't familiar with and, while they didn't play music for long before switching to some talk program, it played The Cathedrals, one of those Southern gospel groups with great harmony. The Statlers are similar and The Oak Ridge Boys have done gospel, though I think at least one of them has gotten away from the faith.

I should have asked what someone in a car was playing one time when I was outside a grocery store.

And Josh Groban and the Harry Simeone Chorale sound great at Christmas. Now I've hard Aaron Shust and Point of grace on one of the stations I listen to for Christmas music and no... just no.
