K-LOVE now mentions Springfield in its TOH ID

I know legally all K-LOVE has to do at the top of the hour is mention WCCC-FM Hartford and WCCC West Hartford and as long as Hartford is mentioned first everything else added after that is just gravy. I caught their TOH ID last night and it was "K-LOVE New England 106.9 FM WCCC-FM Hartford/Springfield and WCCC West Hartford. I don't think I've ever heard a Hartford market FM station mention Springfield in the TOH ID.

A friend of mine listens to the Polish show on WRYM AM 840 and they mention Springfield in their TOH ID. (I don't know about during their Spanish programming). The host John Gladys (sp?) Mentions WRYM New Britain/Hartford/Springfield/New Haven. That's the only time I've heard Springfield mentioned in a TOH ID on a Hartford station.

Sad turn of events for a once great station. They should just retire the call letters and put the history to bed.

While I agree that they should change the calls, who knows if they will? K-LOVE can claim CCC stands for "Connecticut's Contemporary Christian".

Is the AM station officially for sale? And have they had any "bites" for it?

I don't know what could be done with the AM station. It's 490 watts day and I think 11 watts at night. Was anyone listening before when it was Classical? The only good thing about AM 1290 before was they served their City of License (West Hartford) by airing sports play-by-play from both high schools in West Hartford.
