K-Love to PHILLY!

EMF Scores Big:

"ALL ACCESS has confirmed that MERLIN MEDIA has sold Talk WWIQ (IQ 106.9)/PHILADELPHIA to EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION, which will return the frequency, the former longtime FAMILY STATIONS outlet WKDN, back to a Christian format"

Interesting. Thanks for the post.

Your welcome - KLove is already in the market on 89.5 -- My guess is 106.9 will flip to KLove after the sale completes (and MSW is filled) .. and 89.5 will go Air1.

That would be my guess too that WKVO 89.5 would become Air1.

WKVP 89.5 is one of the few EMF owned stations that is in HD. I guess it went HD because Classical WWFM is paying them to be able to use the HD 2. I wonder if WWFM will want to continue the arrangement on WWIQ 106.9 which currently is not in HD. That would make sense and be a big upgrade for WWFM as well.

I thought k-love would have brought the Reach fm Network of Stations in Delaware it sounds like reach is having problems Pledge drives every month Its Expensive i hope they dont shut down

From hisair.net:

"EMF moves K LOVE from WKVP/Cherry Hill (89.5) to its new big signal at WWIQ/Philadelphia (106.9). EMF purchased WWIQ from Merlin a few months ago for $20mil. WWIQ adopts the the WKVP calls. Meanwhile WKVP changes to WYPA and will transition to AIR 1 soon"
