K/MEN 129 Question....

I'm old enough to remember KMEN in the early 60s. I can remember promotions like the Walk Back & Forth, and the KMEN Treasure Hunt. I just saw the 1961 film "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" on cable, which is about a group of strangers on a wild treasure hunt for some stolen cash buried at a beach, and what happens when they all get there reminded me of the wild scenes at a couple of the KMEN Treasure Hunts.

I'm just wondering, in case anyone who's in a position to know reads this, by any chance was the KMEN Treasure Hunt inspired by "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World?"

The movie had "The Big W", the KMEN Treasure Hunt (one of them) had "The Man in the Red Coat". (a well-dressed man on a scotch billboard.)
