K-NEWS 970 should....

go all business/financial.

I noticed that KNUU is now running the syndicated Lars Larson talk show. That sounds like a show that would fit KDOX or even the new KDWN. As I listened to Lars I realized that K-NEWS has a real identity crisis. They don't stand for anything anymore. Now that KDWN has a fully staffed news department, the whole "K-NEWS" thing is irrelevant. There is also no reason for them to run second rate syndicated talk when that's already oversaturated.

Since they already run a lot of financial shows, 970 should go all the way with it. Get rid of the K-NEWS name or maybe even the KNUU call letters. Become the business/financial station 24/7. Maybe it's not a huge niche, but at least they would be focused.. Hook up with a financal news network for off hours programming. There are also endless amouts of investment type infomercial possibilities.
 
I thought they went all business..now their back to talk? they had ed schultz and doug basham...I thought they were going lib talk....Lars is out of Oregon I think
 
I don't think they run any liberal talk anymoe. I always thought that business and liberal talk was a strange combination.

Doug Basham is back on 1230 KLAV.
