Chris Kidd replies;

It is good to hear the news as firm. I have a good feeling that KOIT will allow Bobby Ocean to talk a little more than you might expect. It only makes sense because he does entertain.

Although no one mentioned KOIT in response to my previous post, I have been sampling KOIT more often and have noticed that they do play a fair amout of great oldies such as Smokey Robinson.

Once again it will be a pleasure to hear the new combinatin of Bobby Ocean and KOIT.

If anyone hears that he is filling in on the same shift for the week, such as mid days or whatever for a certain week, how about a post so we all know?

Why don't you just call Bobby and ask him?

Yes - it will be good to hear Bobby again locally. RE: KOIT - everybody, including me - likes to trash them, but they do play a lot of variety within the obvious confines of "Lite Rock," though I've noticed that the definition of "Lite" seems to have expanded the last few years into some real rock music,including Bruce Springsteen. I find that I tune in KOIT sometimes when I'm really sick of the limited playlists of Kiss-FM, KBLX, and KFRC. Even on KKSF, at least half of the content during the daytime are the same couple of dozen "old school" soul records - Let's Stay Together, My Guy, etc, ad nauseum.
