I know. :'( I guess they don't want anyone online to hear the launch as it happens.

Either that or they're powering down in advance of the format flip.

In any case, I hope the streaming returns before the flip occurs.

If CBS Radio doesn't return the streaming until after the flip, I hope one of our very savvy radio-info denizens will post a link to the flip for all to hear.
 
They dropped the stream sometime around 3:45. I've been recording straight from my radio (great reception) since 4PM right into my computer. I'll record into the first 15 mins of the new K-Rock then convert and upload the file afterwards.

I'll try to make it sound good and have it be a nice sizeable download as well.

Hopefully, if all goes well, it will be online by 6-6:30. I'll try my best. STAY TUNED ;D
 
So I'm using a co-workers analog radio and having trouble finding the frequency. Can anybody give me an idea of what is being played now or what my ears should be looking for?
 
Remember, the stream is even more delayed than the actual over the air feed. So what you hear on the feed is about 10-15 seconds delayed. You'll hear the flip a little after it happens :p
 
I finally have audio (via the aforementioned link). No other ways to stream seem to work properly anymore. It's very choppy though... probably getting slammed by lots of people.

The KROCK stream appears to be an FLV file... flash video format. Only way to play it would be through a page's player or applet that can handle live FLV streams.
 
The audio quality is bad. And it sounds very mono and a littlebit more compression like the FM signal would be nice it sounds very 'flat'.
 
The audio of the livestream from K Rock is better now but a lot softer volume than the other stations. I must turn the volume knob full open to hear anything.
