K Rock

Why doesn't KRock play more of an alternative mix of music like WRRV in Middletown/WRRB Arlington,NY?
They should play: (note: a * means would like to play personally)
Fall Out Boy*
Linkin Park
My Chemical Romance
Muse*
The Killers*
Young Love*
Envy On The Coast*
The Sick Puppies*
Halifax*
Three Days Grace*
Nickelback*
Panic! At The Disco*
Sugarcult
Sum 41
Plus 44*
The Academy Is*
Blue October*
Breaking Benjamin*
Papa Roach
Puddle Of Mudd
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Red Jumpsuit Apparatus*
U2
Yellowcard
Saosin*
3 Doors Down
Stone Sour*
Jimmy Eat World*
Green Day
Hoobastank
Incubus
Shinedown*
AFI*
30 Seconds To Mars*
etc.
These types of bands.
I'd like them if they added more of alternative rock music instead of rock.

Trust me, K-Rock has played and will play lots of Linkin Park - they were one of K-Rock's "once an hour" bands.

I agree that they should play a better mix of music. This seems like a return to the "Great Rock Period" sound, which was dragging the station down in ratings. It's too early to tell, but if they're smart, they'll bring in someone who knows what they're doing instead of some CHR guy like Steve Kingston.

Honestly model themselves after an alternative station I know they're rock not alternative but theyre one in the same really. Except for the whiny emo bands that end up there and not on rock. But good alternative stations I love are WRRV Middletown,NY and WCYY-Portland,ME. I love them. I'm a big fan of CHR's mostly, but i like some rock, and im happy it's back.

How quickly you forget...Steve Kingston WAS the program director during K-Rock's alternative heyday.

If you're going to knock on Kingston for having been a CHR PD in the past, are you going to do the same to Kevin Weatherly, since he's done CHR too?
