K-Rock's "Fresh Meat at 6"

Has anyone heard this? They're playing a "new song" every day at 6 (wow, one new song a day, awesome!) While I really like this idea, does anyone else think it's a bit stupid to play the same new song every day all week? You have the biggest market in the country, why not throw listeners for a loop and play a new song each day? Or, maybe have one of those "cage match" things where listeners call in and vote? I don't know, just some ideas. Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

I haven't heard this yet, but I agree that simply featuring a "new song" at a certain time each day is kinda lame, unless it is a cage match or something related. New music should be played throughout the day. But, if the "fresh meat" was a featured new artist that got 10 minutes of airtime each day at 6p for a week, that'd be cool.

Right, and I love Mutemath and am psyched that K-Rock is giving them airtime. However, every day at 6 for the whole week is pretty stupid. If the song is well liked, why not just add it to the playlist?

Fo rreal. The same new (to the station) song, at 6pm, monday thru friday. That is some aggresive programming. Could this maybe be a set up for something more expanded and possibly interesting? Because on the surface it's top 40 programming at its worst. Was "The Six O'clock News" already taken? -bleep-

I think that is an awesome Idea. they should feature all new music for 1 hour after that one song.
