No, not flipping. First, Julio G., then G. Spook and Lil Brownie, now Hollywood. I believe Lil Brownie and Hollywood came from Casa. Is the rumor true? Is Steve Nice no longer with the station? No "Slice of Nice" mix this morning, no "Throwback Lunchbreak" mix, and the "Rolling like a 18 Wheeler" mix is being done by Hollywood today. Que Pasa Amigo?.....

no. they just want to get the ratings up by getting both black and hispanic listeners. as for hollywood, he sure did mess up on yesterdays 5 o'clock mix.

If you think he was bad at 5, you should have heard him at 8. So, have he officially replaced Steve Nice?

Thats sad. I have been listening to him and his mixes since he came on K104 back in '02. For the past few months, he had been working way over time. He did the mixes at 7:45 AM, did a little throwback at noon, had a mix at 5, then another mix at 8. He also had mixes going on during the weekend including the Weekend Block Party Mix on Saturday's and Sunday's plus the Saturday night mix from 10pm til 1am. Also he was the music director of the station. I don't know if he was extremely burnt out because he was the only one doing all of it or decided to go somewhere, but he has done a great job at K104. OM Gary Saunders said on R&R that he is currently looking for more mixers for the station. I say its about time. They can't have just 1 DJ doing all the mixes for the station, they need at least 4 to do some here and there.

I totally agree. I was shocked when I read that they were looking to hire more than one mixer. I just can't wait to hear who they get, and hopefully they will add a Friday night mixshow. Steve Nice was a major player at K104, but from my understanding, Steve has moved on, because he is interested in doing bigger things beyond radio. I wish him much success.
