For spring break. The "Spring Break, Spring Fling" kicked of at 3pm today and is going until Monday. So far, they are mixing non-stop. Mr. Erickson is da man!!!

Correction, it's the "Spring Bling Mix"..

They are sounding great too! I streamed K104 for a bit and heard Steve Nice and Dj Hollywood. I also see that Ebony is no longer doing mid-days. Word is she quit..anyone know why? And they Skip Cheatham and the Playground have a new morning show member..Suga Rae from WHTD in Detroit. Wonder if Lady Jade is on her way out, or maybe Dede is heading out? Who knows.

Suga Rae will actually be on the air 10am-3pm. I heard Ebony quit, because they were going to bump here back down to weekends.

Ahhh I see. Well we shall see how long Suga Rae lasts. Mid-days has been a revolving door since Nate Quick. But Ebony had to know it was coming.

;D I applaud any Urban station that decides to mix during the daytime hours on the weekends! Get the party started, besides im sure the cars and the stores in the mall would be bumpin'!

Shawty, they are sounding like 97.9 The Beat sounded back in the day. They are mixing around the clock, non-stop until Monday. They are playing just as many throwbacks as they are currents. Everybody is calling up, including the barbershops, and kids representing their schools. This is off the chain!!!

As the "Spring Bling Mix" winds down, I give K104 an "A+", and Michael Erickson "MVP". Not only did Steve Nice, Throwdown Sam, and Dj Hollywood mix the currents, they threw in the 80's and 90's. I heard "Self Destruction", "I Know You Got Soul", "Ain't No Future In Yo Frontin", and even the Dallas classic, Nemesis, "Last Night". K104 took me back to the days of the "Texas Caliente Mix Weekends" their competitor, 97.9 The Beat used to do, but with some extra flavor mixed in. Keep up the good work K104!

The all-weekend mixshow reminds of how Hot 93.3 in Austin used to do it a few years ago. I'm glad that K104 actually did a mixshow that was on non-stop all weekend. Before then, K104 never stepped to that plate. Another reason why K104 is not only my favorite radio station in the state of Texas, to me, I think K104 is one of the best Urban stations in the country.

The man responsible for the new sound of K104 is Michael Erickson. He has done what Ken Dowe would have never done. He has made radio fun again.

On a related note, Steve Nice and Dj Hollywood have switched shifts. Dj Hollywood is doing the morning mix 7:45-8:15, and Steve Nice is doing the "Mixtape @ 8" 7:45-9pm.
