K104 JULIO G TO OVERNIGHTS

Service Broadcasting strikes again and this time its the K104 midday guy "Julio G". He's moving from middays to overnights to make room for sisters "Eboni and D'lyte"! They were working weekends and used to work weekends at 97.9 the Beat! Also heard that one of the members of that horrible morning show "Skip Cheatham and the playground" was let go in the middle of the show! That's right "Junebug" was let go during a commercial break or while a song was playing, either way it was very tacky to do it this way! Then again, we are talking about 'Service Broadcasting'! Back to this "Julio G" guy, he was brought in by Ken Dowe from Albuquerque, New Mexico less than a year ago to replace "Nate Quick" who is now on KRNB. Less than a year and off to overnights you go, work out the rest of that contract and.....see ya! He probaly had more job security in Albuquerque! Then again 'radio' and 'job security' shouldn't be used in the same sentence!

I noticed that I haven't heard Junebug lately. I thought he had went on vacation or something. Dang! I thought hiring Julio G. was a mistake in the first place. I thought they would give the position to Action Jaxson, but I guess not. Is he still at K104?

I think Action Jaxson is still doing weekends on K104. Also its official, there is 2 new mixers. 1 mixer ain't really new, but he has been with K104 for a long time; Throwdown Sam is mixing for K104 and a new DJ by the name of DJ Texas Tip is mixing on the station now. Now DJ Hollywood won't have to do all those mixes anymore now that he has help from others.

Really? I know Texas Tip was doing the "Take it to the House" mix for KRNB. What time is he on? K104 has increased the mixes they play now. I noticed that during the morning show, they do two mixes per hour, and on the midday show, Throwdown is doing mini-mixes at the top of each hour. I'm surprised that they have no mixshow on Friday nights.

I know eboni and d'lyte are the soul version of pugs and kelly. They cramp the style of the station.I heard better vocals coming from the Parkland trauma unit.

Well Ive heard him when he was in New Mexico while I was on my way to California several times and I think he is pretty good.

Underrated if you ask me. How is he on K104?

I have to agree. It would be nice hear a female doing middays, but not them.

Who would you choose? I don't have any one in mind because I am so totally out of the demo for K104

Who is that? Like I have told you in the past, I can't deal with 97.9 or 104.5 musically. The music gets on my nerves...

Salem, check out K104's website. Her pic is on there.

Here's what you didn't know....Julio G produces the New Mexico Takeover Tour annually in his home town of Alq NM and brings acts that K104's little summer jam concert can't touch! The NM Takeover 4 was at the end of September and then he went to overnights shortly after. Looks like k104 doesn't like someone that's career is bigger than Dallas. He puts on some of the biggest concerts in the southwest and has always been top in the market. We are glad to have him back home! He brings hip hop to NM!
