First, their morning show is so corny now, it will put you to sleep. They are a hip hop station without weekend mixshows ???. Now, they are advertising a four hour local music show on Sundays, and all I've heard is the same ol' regular programming for the past 30 minutes. Hey Skip, what the he!! are you thinking?

Bucwhyl, this is why everyone is catching up on them in the ratings. Is Skip Cheatham still PD? It might be time for a fresh approach.

SLAM, you are very correct about Mr. Dowd, but then again, why would he leave NYC. The man is blowing up in every market he hits, including this one on 105.7 (something Ken knows nothing about... eh hem.)
The last true MIX show was found on the EDGE of all places, and that left because of nighttime programming changes. 97.9 did the Friday morning drive for a while, but they cut that crap with commercials and drop-ins so much, who cares to get a groove on?
As for Mr. Cheat'em, he MUST GO! With that low overhead, highly loyal fanbase station, a gold mine is way too much responsibility for an idiot like him. LCD Programming isn't an actual format, is it? (For those not in the "know", that is "Lowest Common Denominator" :)

)He was good until sometime last year when I think he want to make the station sound like everywhere else. A station that sucks. When you look at K104 airplays on radioandrecords.com, you will see that he is playing songs alot more than in the past and making you hear that same song over and over again. Let say 2 years ago, the most played song maximum amount of airplay for a song on K104 averaged about 72 spins. Now it skyrocketed up to 104 or 105 spins. Rhythmic stations usually spin around that much, not Urban stations. I may be wrong, but there may be some stations that are like that out there.Slambang said:
