Ooooooo, you are so right on. The entire station is so far off the map and drowning.MikeShannon914 said:Damn, was hoping you'd say Warren Epps and Vern Catron.
"Kevvy Kev" does sound like a 5-yr old's nickname. I'm sure he'll go far in radio, like TommyTom Joyner and StevieSteve Harvey.
I'm sensing that Hyman is merely "calling it in" these days. The station could have fetched $90 mil at one time, and he wouldn't sell. Now it's out of the Top 10, probably for good, and each morning show hire is a step down from the last.

I'm not sure what ratings you guys are looking at down there in Dallas, but it looks like Service has a good thing going on right now considering it has changed morning shows twice in the past 6 months and it's still 7th! Dee Dee will be alright if they continue to let her run the show. I'm happy for a female running things for once. Bring back Skip Murphy & Co? Please stop it. Everytime the three or four of you start talking about Dallas, someone has to say bring back Skip Murphy. Well what happened with them at Citadel? Why won't Radio One in Dallas hire them? Why don't you hire them at your station? LOL! Awwwwww the good old days. LET IT GO!

I suspect a lot of stations could have fetched a bunch more money when Fagreed & Trickey Dickey and the rest of the radio illiterate "financial wizard" consolidators ran prices up to ludicrously inflated levels like 21x cash flow. That had nothing to do with what a property was really worth as a local radio station that actually has an interest in serving the community it broadcasts to. Just an uneducated guess here but I seriously doubt that Hyman is merely "calling it in". The playing field has changed radically with the advent of PPM, changing demos, competition from non-terrestrial venues, and with the collapse of the radio price bubble. There are reasons why K104/KRNB regularly outperform their competition ratings-wise that probably would not be happening were Hyman reallymerely "calling it in".
