K105's (WKOA Lafayette) Bob Vissa Hospitalized

AllAboutCountry.com reports today that Bob Vissa is in the hospital recuperating from open-heart surgery last week.

Says WASK OM Mark Allen: "Bob is no more then 4 feet tall but he's the biggest man I know. He has more courage then I could ever have. Please pray for Bob for a speedy recovery."

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

I've known Bob for 30 years. He's the reason I got into radio. Even helped me get my first gig. Heres to a speedy recovery, pally.

Quick story...Bob ended up having to cover my weekend shift while my daughter was being born. He and Chris stopped up at the hospital at the end of the shift, and they were my daughter's first visitors. That was almost 23 years ago.

Bob is doing well. He is out of critical care and back in the transplant ward of the hospital.

For most patients that would mean a regular room but since Bob is a transplant patient his recovery takes place in the transplant wing of Methodist Hospital.

He still has pain, but we're slowly on the upswing.
