K240DS Garland

I drove from Lewisville to Lavon today. Coit Road seems to be the dividing/fighting line on the Bush Turnpike. Around and east of US-75/Central Expressway, it's K240DS. Around and west of the DNT, it's KFWR.

The FCC needs to dump this station.

Agreed. They never should have been allowed to have it in the first place. This is ridiculous.

I wish the Ranch was on here in Dallas.

And in FCC actions east of Dallas involving Church run stations

From Radio World Online:

http://www.rwonline.com/article/texas-lpfm-faces--penalty/219289

A Texas low-power FM faces a $9,000 fine for not having any EAS gear.

In response to an unrelated complaint about Spanish-format KYLP(LP), Greenville, Texas, an agent with the FCC’s Dallas office of its Enforcement Bureau inspected the facility in March 2012. That’s when the agent saw there was no EAS equipment installed in the studio, nor at the transmitter site.

There were no logs indicating EAS gear had ever been operational at the station, according to the FCC.

The base fine is $8,000, and the agency tacked on an extra $1,000 because of the lack of EAS logs.

Licensee Iglesia Cristiana Ebenezer has 30 days to appeal or pay as well as submit proof within that time that EAS equipment has been installed and is in working order.

KYLP is on 101.5. This station also has a translator in Royce City at 106.9.

AND Paris, Texas (91.9) AND Caney, Okla (90.1)

http://www.iglesiacristianagarland.com/radio.html

"Iglesia Cristiana Ebenezer of Greenville, TX" is really the Iglesia Cristiana Ebenezer
church on Forest Lane in Garland, formerly know as the "Blazer Bowl" bowling lanes.
Makes you wonder if the other two have any EAS equipment...
