I have been watching K25DM digital for the past few months. They now run programming announced as 'Cuban de Television' and 'Roberto Marrero Presente' from Miami, Florida.
They broadcast cinematic and television programming in various original languages with Spanish open-captioned subtitles.
When the recent 'Hitchcock' movie was released, they began showing Alfred Hitchcock movies. They ran a Hitchcock triple feature one night that included 'Psycho' and 'Vertigo'. They ran another Hitchcock movie ('The Man Who Knew Too Much') earlier this week. They also run movies from Portugal, France, U.K. - again, in their original language with open-captioned Spanish subtitles.
They run older American cartoons ('Mr. Jinks', 'Betty Boop', 'Huckleberry Hound', 'Yogi Bear', 'Woody Woodpecker') and television shows ('Rin Tin Tin') dubbed to Spanish for the children audience and 'Have Gun Will Travel' and 'Lone Ranger' in English with open-captioned Spanish subtitles.
Their programming is what I call 'European' style. They run their programs without commercial interruption, then run advertisement at the end of the program. What were half-hour shows (e.g., 'Rin Tin Tin'), the station will run two shows back-to-back, then end the hour with commercials or variety entertainment such as dancing and singing.
I have these complaints: (1) occasionally their Phoenix signal on channel 25 inexplicably goes off the air in mid-programming and (2) their program audio is inconsistent (some shows are at normal level while others are almost in-audible even when I turn up my television audio).
