 K260AS 99.9, Jasper TX filed to move to Houston area in August, and change frequency to 97.3 and on Monday 11-28-16 filed to change frequency and location from 97.3 Missouri City, to 95.3 Pasadena TX, on the KLVL tower, The application was filed on 11-28-16 and granted on Dec 2nd before the FCC filings had even been published in the FCC notices. what happened to FCC having a 30 day window for review and filing of objections, before any action is taken, looks like this application slid in under the radar, last CP mod I filed for a frequency change took 6 to 8 weeks, the K260AS application for CP Mod filed on Nov 28-16 has still not been posted, most filings take No more than a day or two for fillings to be posted. they are going to cause problems for KEPH-LP Friendswood TX which has a good signal North into downtown Houston. makes Me wonder why their application was granted so fast before the ink even dried on the application, when most take at least 30 days or more.

The fm dial will be mostly noise before long from all the interference. This one will get clobbered.

The K260AS CP is for 58 watts at 65 meters, a little over 12 miles from the KEPH site. However there is a null towards KEPH as well as the yet-unnamed LPFM CP in northeast Harris County. It is also about 40 miles from KTTF, so probably not going to be a problem for the Tomball station.

But yes, the FM band is getting very crowded in Houston. And more LPFMs and translators on the way.

There will be only be like 4 FM stations stations that will listenable and the rest will be fighting each other. 2016 the year the FCC killed FM by allowing to many LPFM and translator applications to be approved S M H.
