Purple, don't know where this came from but I can't see it happening. 104.5's studio literally sits right next to The Buzz. They've put a lot of effort into the new Spanish format. I wouldn't expect it to go away so soon.

Yeah, I know. You posted pictures, remember? It came from the daily domains portion of Insight. Just throwing it against the wall...seeing if sumpin' sticks.

As for the effort, it must've went into the format. Sure didn't go into the studio set up. I like the T 104-5 programming, not so much La Mejor. Personal taste, but Joe...we both know 104-5 don't stand a Chinaman's chance against ciento dos puuuuunto nueve. It won't last a year as La Mejor. You read it here first.

Edit to add: BTW, what is "fuzzing at you"? You dang youngsters and your hip vocabulary...

Yeah, Spanish is a language, not a format.

If you add "Flowers" to it, it's also a darn fine restaurant here in Houston on the intersection of North Main & Julian. One I'd highly recommend if you find yourself down this way, David. Mean bowl of menudo right there...mmm, mmm.

I see we have another Spanish Flowers fan in the house! I'm a little older than you, Steven, but Flowers used to be another mile or so down Main, in a small green building across from the Triangle Restaurant. They moved into the old bookstore run by Mr. Marvin after he sold off and closed down. Some places have a hard time getting their foothold after a big move. Not Spanish Flowers, it thrived in the bigger location so much that it has went through 2 separate expansions since then. The old bookstore building it ain't no more.

...and that's good, because that old bookstore was a creepy place, lol.

There's no indication that it belongs to Houston, Phoenix, Cedar Rapids, or Timbuktu. The only connection is that we have a 104-5 now, which means we join other areas, that have a station occupying the channel, in the speculation that it might be ours going over "The Edge".

I agree the La MEJOR Format seems Lazy. The Djs sound bored, now El Muñeco on his Tejano program sounds happy to be there. You say that La MEJOR will not stand a chance Vs 102.9 but it sounds better than La Raza and way better than 93.3.

104.5 The Edge

Given how 104.5 in San Antonio has tanked in the ratings, that could be the candidate.

Just not sure the Alternative/Active format can split a 5 share. Of course, that would beat what KZEP is doing now.

So this guy that has a program Sundays in the morning from some bull riding show, well just got used to be on 93.3 before. Well yesterday I was listening and he announces station in Spanish same you're listening to KTBZ then he was like hmmm hmmm KTBZ DASH 2. He sounded excited to announce the station but he sounded like he had no idea what the dash two meant. So some of you guys are right about HD radio a lot of people including DJs have no idea what HD radio is.
