K31GL 31.5 finally has programming

Yes, it's definitely a good news/bad news situation.

I'm particularly surprised that K31GL configured a fifth channel just to run infomercials when it seems likely there will soon be a surplus of bandwidth in the area, with KBOP, KNAV, and KHPK all expected soon, not to mention KLEG and/or KATA likely losing Azteca soon too.

Maybe they configured 31.5 for something else that fell through, and just put the infomercials on when the opportunity arose. Can you tell if they're running the old KLDT infomercials? KATA inherited KHPK/3's infomercials on 50.4. It seems as soon as the videospammers lose one outlet, they quickly find another.

On the topic of subchannels, KTAQ now has 46-2 with a simulcast of 47-1. I'd guess this is a misconfiguration of the equipment since they probably want it showing as 47-2. In any event, it appears that something might be going on at that Greenville outlet. :)

I think 31.5 is just testing for now. They're only showing 2 commercials over and over again (Lifelock, and something having to do with Vitamin D).

Let's wait and see what they have in mind for us. If we're lucky, it will be ME-TV! I had a nice email exchange with one of their officials a couple of weeks ago and they said they are working on getting an affiliate in the DFW area to sign on.

If ME-TV were to come to DFW I'm sure K31GL
would pick it up, they;ve been pretty good about airing Classic TV.
I'm sure if Antenna TV weren't on 33.2 K31GL would have picked it up.
