As of today 31.3 is back, but now it's TeleRitmo, a Spanish-language Tex-Mex music station. I guess TheCoolTV is gone for good.

31.2 is still a blank screen.

Aww perfect!! We already have enough Spanish stations! We are turning into LA.

As to what happened to TheCoolTV, this is the reply I got back from them..

Unfortunately we had to pull our server from the Dallas area because we were not generating enough revenue from the area. We are a young company though, and hopefully we can make it back down to Dallas in the near future. Thanks for your support and sorry we have to leave the area (for now). "

Maybe if they hear from enough previous viewers they would try again in DFW. Problem I always had with it on 31.3 is, the Left channel of the audio was dead every time I tuned in, only the Right channel was carrying audio. Ongoing technical problems like that with a music station probably didn't help.

TeleRitmo is not Tex-Mex but Norteño, Grupero and Regional Mexican. It's a sister station on Monterrey-based Multimedios TV which is already seen in many markets across Texas and the southwest US. It's also the only music channel I know of that has a full power flagship TV station.

Compounding the problem is that on 31.4, the Right channel was dead. That was a problem for my guest bedroom, where I was trying to get by with only one channel for a mono hookup. No matter which channel I used one subchannel had no audio! Finally had to break down and buy a set of stereo speakers so I could hook up both channels.
