K98.5 Ratings?

SoulCrusher,

If you saw some of the average east coast Country listener demos, you'd be very surprised how many upper class citizens are listening to Country. It's people with your kind mentality that make the Country format in New York impossible. Hmm, you like Alternative music? Then I bet you still live at home, work at 7-11, drive a used vehicle, and still attending community college after 7 years.

Agreed. It's a suburban soccer mom format that genuinely reaches the entire 18-49 demo. Today's country is very much after the same audience as a station like WPLJ or WJLK are after. Like you said, the stereotypes are silly.

We'll see just how the station does when the next book comes along. I think we may all be surprised. I predict high 2s or low 3s.

Anyone know what's next for K98.5?

WPUR clobbered them in Southern Ocean, new morning guy brought in and airstaff juggled, program director no longer there (his picture disappeared from the website yesterday), airstaff juggled back to where it was.

Atleast the old B98.5 was in the mid to upper 2s 12+!

I herd they were tryin to get the afternoon guy from cat country 107.3,
Kris Coalmin to be program directer. The next choise will prolly be Paul Walker.

Maybe K98.5 got that WPUR afternoon guy.
