K99 wants YOU!

Sadly it appears to be official that Steve Kerrigan will be unable to return to K99's morning show at all. K99 has a big ad in today's Dayton Daily Snooze looking for a morning co-host for Nancy Wilson. Still hoping for the best for Steve that he can get well even if he doesn't come back to radio. Nancy is a great person to work with, someone is gonna land a primo morning show gig with a great company.

Jim LaBarbera did a gig a few years back at a country station somewhere in northern Kentucky until last year (I think).
Is he still looking for a a job?

What about considering Lee Riley?

Judging from http://k99online.com/inside/stevekerriganbio.html - he has cancer.

Here's hoping for a full recovery.

WHIO has a good country jock named Darren Tandy doing news on the AM station. Hopefully they are looking in house as well...

They could bring Jim Day (now Jim Carey..the Cash 'n' Carry Morning Show) back from their sister station in Tulsa.

Sorry to hear about Steve. He's a GREAT guy. I loved working with him for the year I did at K99.1 FM. He's considerate and virtually NO ego. Nancy is terrific too.

I could see Jim Day coming back if he really LIKED Dayton and missed "Home".

But put Dayton next to Tulsa, and Tulsa wins city-wise.

Both Cox clusters are awesome. Great people to work with. I've worked in both Tulsa and Dayton Cox clusters. Both were fantastic work environments.

They were both organized, well managed, and great staff morale.

But the CITY of Tulsa is so much cleaner and so much more pleasant than the city of Dayton.
