KAAM 770Am

Hey guys whats going with KAAM... I noticed that tonight the saturday night oldies program has made a big change no more Al.. So whats going on with this channel??

Crusin' Al and the Saturday Night Sock Hop are still listed on KAAM's web site. Maybe Crusin' Al was busy and a substitute was filling in? I've heard engineer Hue Beavers fill in on Sat night before, didn't listen last night though. ???

Dallas-Fort Worth/Re: KAAM 770Am

alright guys i waited a week and still its the same since i reported last week. i have also noticed that Chuck Brinkman is not doing his Friday Night oldies show.. What is going on at KAAM???

Well, don't hold your breath if you're waiting for their website to be updated. The first page still says Brinkman's doing afternoon drive...and he's been off that shift for quite a while now.

Why not go to the source? [email protected] is Cruisin' Al's email. Write him and let us know what he says. Honestly, I just don't listen to KAAM enough to care about all of this, but if they've made big changes over there, please tell us about it.

I would guess that Junior Crawford is following Clear Channel and CBS's wonderfully-effective model of dumping any talent that makes more than $30K a year (or, on a KAAM scale, would probably be anyone making over $9 an hour.) Are they still selling out the entire weekend schedule to infomercials about cruises and trips for the elderly?

Several years ago when KAAM was runniing basketball games on Sat night (about as interesting as listening to golf on the radio) I tried WLGZ oldies show "Rochester Rock Remembered with Joe Centanni" and generally prefer it for my Sat nite Oldies fix. Too bad it's tethered to the computer!

WGLZ I think is a Crawford (Senior) station! The one they had up there was great and the site was even better!

Small "anyurism" at KAAM. Guess Al was not pulling the cash so he was out. Tori Logan is gone as well. Brinkman (or as Johnny Drake calls him "Brinky") is still there and the rest. Seemed to pick up abit of syndicated programming on the weekend as well.

Yea the site looks nice but slow on updating. Didn't have that problem when we ran it.

BGH
