KAAM left channel only?

I was visiting the Dallas-Fort Worth area recently and noticed that songs which are in stereo on KAAM appear to only have the left channel (or maybe the right) airing on the mono AM audio signal.

Is KAAM still broadcasting the HD digital signal? Is the digital signal stereo? I'm just curious if the transmitter somehow is deriving the analog AM output signal from the digital input or are the HD and analog AM two seperate audio feeds? It almost seems like there is a little more treble response in the analog signal although it may just be my imagination.

If I had to guess, I'd say it's probably a loose wire issue, somewhere in the airchain. An Engineer probably needs to go through the wiring to check for this sort of thing.

Analog audio is delayed 8 secs to match the HD audio because of the audio compression, etc. If the HD is not missing one channel, it is likely a bad delay ckt or a loose audio connection somewhere. If the HD IS missing one channel, then it is in the audio feed from the studio to the xmtr. There is usually one audio feed (if digital, preferably 44.1kHz) to the xmtr then it runs through the HD and analog processing before hitting the transmitter.
