Little Rock KAAY License to cover

Unless there is a land deal involved why? They still have a directional plant to maintain. I guess they can "set back" their existing transmitter's power at night and maybe save $50 a day. I don't think they have a FM signal for this programming.

2 towers on this directional pattern. How many towers for the former 50,000 watt night pattern?

Three, but one of them fell in 2022. A decision was made to not replace it, and instead file for non-directional 24/7. However, obviously they decided instead to use the two remaining towers and operate as they could engineer it. It won't be 50k at night anymore, but it'll cover the area almost as well as the three towers pattern did. I've read that if they had operated non-directional at night they could have expected 80 watts. 3400 watts directional on two towers that they still have was a better option.

EDIT: i totally missed the other thread on this subject. It explains it all, and much better than I did.
