KABC's Big Mistake With Joe Scarborough!

Joe Scarborough is gone from KABC's website. And I suppose this means they canceled his show?

Stupid mistake KABC! Joe Scarborough is the greatest conservative talk show host in America. He's the only conservative in America who could make it on a liberal tv network, and he WILL be President some day (he's got what it takes!).

Even though Sean Hannity and Mark Levin don't need/use a sidekick woman like Joe does, Joe is still better than those wannabe-president types.

Good luck getting ratings again KABC! Your loss is Joe's gain.

God Bless America (or should I say, God Bless Scarborough Country)...

Frosty Heidi & Frank have deep roots and have strong bonds with many Los Angelinos. Joe Scarborough mean nothing. AM radio needs to hook up with compelling local personalities who matter. If it keeps relying on drug-addeled, out-of-town hacks, it will only be the domain of the 60-plus crowd who have nothing going on.

Deep roots and strong bonds? Frosty and Frank were out of towners at one time too. Oh and are you saying Joe Scarborough is a drug-addeled, out-of-town hack? Where's that coming from? I can agree that radio needs compelling local personalities who matter but that's a no brainer...

He's gotta be referring to Rush "OxyC" Limbaugh haha. Yeh Rush serves the domain of the 60-plus crowd who have nothing going on. It's just a matter of time before he's relegated to the has-beens of radio.

Don't give me this "over 60" nonsense,and don't tell me how great Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity or Mark Levin is just because they don't have sidekicks, Maybe they should try having sidekicks. The point is Joe Scarborough, like a great (future) President, surrounds himself with talented people. He tried the "personal ego" approach to doing a syndicated talk show 3 years ago on Westwood One networks, and quickly learned that allowing a woman to share a little bit of his spotlight is what America wants. And look at where Joe is at now! Wow! Rick Dees shared it with Ellen K, Joe shares it with Brzinski. That's true leadership.

Scarborough 2012. Or 2016, whatever. Joe will use the medium of radio to become President, and turn this country around, with or without KABC. And KABC will never get ratings again without Joe Scarborough - - too bad for you, guys...you had your chance.

I predict 980 or 1260 will have the "share some of the spotlight with a woman" Joe Scarborough on their station soon...

Go Joe....relying on a sidekick is the way to our nation's future....some of us "get it" even if KABC doesn't
 
Of course I was talking about Rushbo re: drug-addled comment. There are just so many syndicated right-wing kooks on the air right now. But Mr. Scoon you might the only person I know who cheerleads for Scarborough as passionately as you do. I know tons of Dittoheads, but no Scarfaces. I think KABC should be applauded for launching a live-and-local talk show on the air, when it is so much easier to just flick a switch and carry some inexpensive out-of-town rightwing pantload who endlessly bitches and whines about public option health care. Although Bob Moore was the guy who floated one of biggest punchbowl turds ever when he put Kato Kaelin on KLSX, he is sort of redeeming himself here by breathing life back to KABC. THIS is how KABC can start to rise up again against KFI: By getting more live and local. Unfortunately for KABC, I think KFI has figured this out as well. That's why they dumped ultra-harpy Laura Schlesinger. Bill Handle is a hack but he is damn good. And he is local. These syndicated rightwing blowhards are starting to sound the same.
 
I gave Joe a fair listen too. I nearly fell alseep every time I did, and that was when I was driving too. I think KABC made the right choice.
 
Scoon, I think it's nice that you support Scarborough the way you do. He did a pretty good job. And he is upfront about his political leanings, but he always gave guests and subjects a fair shake. Probably why he didn't make it.

As for FHF, I hope the show will focus on local issues--not the same topics they did on FM. Frosty is bright, and engaged. Frank surprised me one night when he was a guest on Conway's old gig---thoughtful guy. Very different from the personality you hear on FHF. I hope we get more of that.

It would have been better for Conway and Whitman to fill the spot. Two opposites politically, both funny, both intelligent.
 
Conway and Whitman would have been terrific, but with Conway tied up at KFI I don't think that is a possibility. Nevertheless I liked FHF. The youthful callers were nice. It actually didn't seem like KABC for that 3 hours. I hope this is the start of something new and getting the cobwebs off KABC and making it come back to life with some new younger talent.
 
Why does everyone on the site seem to only want to hear the same ol political talk??? I personally am a Republican, and I sometimes get tired of hearing constant politics ALL DAY. I want to have some good laughter listening to the radio! Why does everyone want to see FHF or Leykis go completely politics??? Doing what they did on the FM got them the ratings and reputation in the first place, why would they mess with that?
 
He's a decent tv-show host but am I the only one who think his radio show is a mess? It's not fast paced, not funny, not entertainment.
 
I don't know for others, but for me radio primarily is mainly background entertainment, like when I am at work or driving home, so I want it to be funny and generally light weight at times. I don't always want it to be heavy duty political stuff. That is why I enjoy FHF. When I want politics I turn to Handel and John and Ken. I think the variety is good.

The GOP will never nominate Joe. Just google "Joe Scarborough dead itern". Hmm, then again, they can impeach a president for having sex with an intern, maybe they would nominate one who "got rid of the evidence".

Um, Scoon, what is wrong with radio talent building "radio shows for the sake of making great radio shows" ? Isn't that the point?

Anyhow, his show is still on KABC. I heard Mark Simone filling in yesterday morning, and they play tape again at night between 9-11, I believe.
 
OMG .....now KABC's "sister station" in Washington, DC has lost their minds! Joe Scarborough has been "bumped" in the nation's capitol, as well.

Joe seems angry - and has a right to be.

He is entitled to primetime clearance in big markets for many reasons: A) He has elevated American women to the status of being prominently featured sidekicks in both radio and TV; B) He has found a way to use media not just for the sake of creating "great radio" or "great tv," but for the sake of advacing his political mission - and his mission is to be President!

When will KABC - and those twits in D.C. - see the light?

Stay strong, Joe. I get it - even if "real radio people" don't.
