KADD 93.5 Now Heard In Vegas

While driving around the southwest part of town, the seek button stopped on 93.5 FM. The signal was very weak, but strong enough to make the seek function stop. According to Wikipedia, this is KADD - Logandale, NV owned by M&M Broadcasting. I guess that they have an application in for a Vegas booster. The two songs I heard sounded very AAA. Wikipedia has them listed as a hot AC. I guess they want to challenge KMXB, KFRH and KSNE. Tough fight, especially for an out-of-towner.

Of course, all this info is assumed....so who knows what will become of the station.

On a side note, is The Vibe 94.5 achieving any type of success? A niche format with a terrible signal in Vegas.....hard sell. Are they selling any spots?

I heard 93.5 a few times on my car radio today. What's the format like?

Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Now I finally feel like a part of something!! I can explain this. The format is satellite fed hot AC from ABC Radio Networks. It is the Today's Best Hits format which I have been trying to look for a replacement stream but there isn't any since KKOR Star 94.5 cut their streaming off with no explanation (but I'll make them explain to me, hehe.). I actually got this station from Vegas too but better on 100.1 way up in a hotel. This damn Vegas doesn't know what hot AC and top 40 is if a station like WQMS Q-98 from Fayetteville, NC moved all the way there and bit them in the face! Hurt KMXB in any way possible that's what I say!

100.1 is not the same signal as 93.5. 100.1 is a translator of KNYE from Pahrump, the former Art Bell owned station.

Newsperson responds:

DemoDave...Are your sure that 100.1 still broadcasts KNYE?

Last I heard the translator owner (Kalie Miller) got feed up with Art Bell and dropped his station. Can anyone tune in to 100.1 and listen for who they are carrying?

I will look forward to a response.

Newsperson

According to Radio Station World, only one translator for 100.1, licensed to Clark County (in which Las Vegas sits) and that is now listed as carrying this KADD "K-Hits". Calls are K261BZ with a power of 165 Watts. No translators listed for KNYE in either Clark County,or even KNYE's home county of Nye.
