KAGM PD

I just read yet another ad placed for the PD position thats what 6 times since the position was opened 6 months ago. My question why is their such a problem getting someone? Is it the 8 point lead KOB has after two books? Is it bad prima donna local talk hosts that are as interesting as watching grass grow? Is it no salary left to offer?
What could it be?

Maybe they should hire somebody and just say "Have at!" Let them do what they want within the confines of a talk format. Let them bring in whomever the want.

Another one from the never-going-to-happen pile (but a fantasy of mine): buy singularly owned KKNS, flip it to something else, and move elements of the sports format mixed with quality talk hosts like KTBL-departed Tom Leykis. Call it Radio for Men or something similar yet appropriately inoffensive for market #70.
