KAMA HAS A UPGRADE

I just saw a tv commercial for 104.9 saying they have more power now so my guess is that the upgrade has been completed and the tower is now in Deer Park!

Their tower is not, and has never said that it would be in Deer Park. This is simply a change to the City of License along with the upgrade.

Well, this may explain why KAMA is not broadcasting in Stereo and why KLTN has been on and off of the AUX. Both stations are now back in HD after being off the whole week.

What's next? I have a gut feeling we may hear Luis Jimenez soon.

As far as I know, there's nothing to upgrade with 93.3. It's already at full power. Only thing to do would be to move it closer to Houston. Otherwise that signal is all its ever gonna be for the city of Houston.

KAMA's new power is more than triple that of the previous facility, but at virtually the same HAAT. The antenna height stats are also the same as KLTN's, which makes me wonder if they are diplexing out of the same antenna.

Good time for a power increase, as chief competitor Mega might not be around for much longer, after the CC divestiture (whenever that happens, any news on that?)
