KAND Corsicana goes silent

That's a bet you might loose! 😎 More likely it will move a little NW, continue feeding K285HC, and then add K237HG Cedar Hill.
The heck with the bet. I read that and my heart began to hurt for your soul. Just remember, friend, you can't take the money with you, and ice cubes don't exist down there.
Anyone want to make an offer on the old CD changer full of classic country CDs that used to automate KAND back in the 80s? Or how about the DG Media Manager server that automated in the 90s? No guarantees about what's on it or if its even operational anymore.

We've got entirely too much ancient junk already stored away and giving the wolf spiders a nice home, but maybe y'all could reach out to Jerry Moon at KNES in Fairfield. If nothing else, the nostalgia effect might be enough of an enticement.

It would be great if it is back full time. Is it back on full time or did it just fire up the signal briefly to avoid license cancelation since the one year anniversary of it going silent is a few days away?

I've driven through Corsicana many times and KAND was always doing high school sports. Now that those broadcasts have moved to 106.9, I'm going to guess whatever revenue that station was used to getting is probably gone. I always thought it was a nice town.

The KAND revival was short lived. They have filed, and been granted, another Silent STA.

From the filing:

“Financial hardship has again forced New Century Broadcasting, LLC, licensee of station KAND-AM and associated FM Translator K285HC, both licensed to Corsicana, Texas to cease operation of both facilities effective 10 November 2025. We have found a buyer for station who plans to license It at a different location, and await action on the pending application for assignment. We anticipate the stations will return to the air under new ownership.”

oh gosh.. he who shall not be named is the contract engineer for the station in a Nov 2025 filing. I just noticed that.
Centro Cristiano de Vida Eterna had a deal to buy it for $75,000 early last year.
