93.3 KANE-FM has a nice ring to it.MetroMuscle said:Good choice C.C. Will Kane continue the Aft. drive show on 933 also?
DToTheJ said:It would only make sense for Kane to give up afternoons on WFLZ. That way, when he's done with his big-market morning show, he can be able to voicetrack smaller markets in afternoon drive.
What spin?Parttimer said:I wonder if MJ's "decision" was totally voluntary. CC forced out Jim Krenn in Pittsburgh, who was a fixture for 20+ years and pulling down big $$.... this might have been more about a budget cut than anything else. At least MJ could spin it as a lifestyle decision.

rfrus said:Goober you are wrong. They do want LOCAL especially in the mornings
and, how many Howard Sterns are there?Parttimer said:If the show is good enough it doesn't matter. No one outside of the NY metro ever cared that Howard Stern wasn't local.

I said the following in another post, but I guess it was over-looked. I'll copy it here:
Once again people... the core listener DOES NOT CARE if they are local. People just want entertainment. Its 2012, not quite the dawn of automation. Kane has been tracked in afternoons for years now. He was #1 in the core demos. Can we move on from the "gad-nabit, those damn voice trackers" attitude? Evolve with the industry. Or don't.
