Kannon OUT as PD at Wired

It's not really his fault. The music for that demo is horrific

The other station that plays pretty much the same music, with which they were tied not too long ago, has opened up a huge lead on them. That's not because the music sucks.

I'm not trying to start a flame war, but i'm probably closer to their demo than you, and as a casual listener, I don't think that WIOQ plays the same music.
When I hear Q, i hear more pop than I do at Wired. I think the problem, besides the music, is a lack of clear identity. Wired seems to want to be Q/Power/Beat rolled into one, and as the saying goes, if you try to please everyone, you end up pleasing no one. That's what happened to them, IMHO.

If the demo is 18-34, I'm in it. Though only for another 6 months.

I agree with the above. But your other post seemed to be talking about "the music for that demo," which sounded like all current pop music.

You build a radio station with a foundation of a great morning show that is inline with the music . That is also why Q s beating Wired.
