Hoeflicker Sells KS PairHOEFLICKER BROADCASTING CORP. (and related WACONDA BROADCASTING CORP.) sell Oldies KZDY (Z-96.3)/CAWKER CITY, KS and Country KDNS (KD COUNTRY 94.1)/DOWNS, KS to BRUCE E. DIERKING's DIERKING COMMUNICATIONS, INC. DIERKING is paying $175,000 to WACONDA for KZDY and $276,000. to HOEFLICKER for KDNS. DIERKING COMMUNICATIONS, INC. purchased Classic Hits KQNK AM & FM/NORTON, KS in 1999. DIERKING COMMUNICATIONS, INC. began in 1988 with the purchase of KNDY AM & FM/MARYSVILLE, KS from HOEFLICKER BROADCASTING CORP.
 
I'm guessing somebody will have local control of the stations for day-to-day operations, with Bruce managing from a distance. I believe that is how KQNK is operated out in Norton. As for Herbie, I don't know, but it sounds like a retirement.

Does his daughter still own KREP in Belleville?
