Signs on the air in Hutchinson!

Cliff Shank announced KNZS-100.3 FM has signed on the air. “Hutchinson and central Kansas now have a local Classic Rock FM station to listen to. KNZS or Kansas Rocks signed on at midnight. Kansas Rocks will be true to its name. The format is the heart of Classic Rock radio format with a strong appeal to men 30 to 59 years old .”
Kansas Rocks music spans four decades of music from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. The Classic Rock format features all the artists you expect: The Beatles and the Rolling Stones from the 60’s; Led Zeppelin, The Who, Eagles and Lynyrd Skynyrd from the 70’s; Van Halen, Aerosmith and Pink Floyd from the 80’s; and finally, we select 90’s title from heritage artists that fit such as Tom Petty and Eric Clapton.
100.3 FM - KNZS has studios in downtown Hutchinson and is licensed to Arlington, Kansas. Ad Astra per Aspera Broadcasting acquired the station in December of 2007 from Connoisseur Media of Wichita and immediately filed applications with the F.C.C. and the F.A.A. to increase the power from 7,800 watts to 14,500 watts and build the new 488 foot tower south of Plevna., the old tower was located southwest of Kingman. The upgrade more than quadruples the potential listening audience. Ad Astra per Aspera Broadcasting also owns Hit Radio 94.7 FM - KSKU ...
