Was AM doing A/C and FM Top 40?
They did, however, continue to simulcast the hourly newscasts (at least during the day) and occasionally the engineer would forget to throw the automation switch back on resulting in some AM simulcasts for an hour or so...Eli Polonsky said:spt87 said:So what was the deal with WBZ-FM 106.7 anyway? The morning simulcasts were from before 1971 when WBZ-FM was broadcasting (mostly taped) classical and jazz the rest of the time. The AM was full-service A/C. The FM went full-time Top 40 in 1971, and dropped all simulcasting of the AM.
