This is the latest info we have on Karen Cortello. She was one of the all time great Music Directors of New Orleans radio.

Karen Theresa Cortello at her residence in Metairie, La. on Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at 5:30 p.m. Beloved daughter of Elaine Fahey Cortello and the late Malcolm Cortello. Sister of Craig M. Cortello and wife Kimberlin Cortello, Charlene Cortello Campen and husband James F. Campen. Aunt of Kirstie Campen, Kaley Campen and Michael Cortello. Also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives. Age 42 years. A native of New Orleans, La. and resident of Metairie for the past 40 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass from the Metairie Home of LAMANA-PANNO-FALLO, 1717 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, corner of Bonnabel Boulevard on Saturday, November 19, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. followed by interment in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Metairie, La. Wow...blows me away...condolences to family, friends, co-workers...she was a doll and a class act. Dancing with the angels at that great show in the sky! Godspeed Karen until we meet again!
