Karen Hepp

Karen Hepp joined the WNYW- FOX 5 News team in January of 2005 as the weekend co-anchor of the 6 and 10pm news. Karen moved back to the Big Apple in 2003. Before joining the FOX 5 family, she was a reporter at WNBC and co-anchor of Weekend Today In New York.
Former NBC10 reporter for five years, where she covered many high-profile stories as a lead breaking news reporter and fill-in anchor.
Karen is married to her husband Brian and lives in the New York area. When not at work, she's out running, biking or hiking.
Edited by trolleyk on 09/14/05 04:34 AM.

Hepp was let go from WNBC for several reasons.
First, she was too caual for WNBC's more traditional news format.
Second, was the "Wifebeater" shirt incident. That may fly on crappy tabloid newscasts like on WCAU and WNYW, but not WNBC.
Third, she lacked knoledge of the Tri-State Area and it showed!
______________
