Karen Perrin Out at WKQK

Per her Facebook announcement, Karen Perrin is no longer part of the WKQK morning show. Steve Conley remains to take the show "in a new direction". :(

18+ years at FM100 and 94.1.

Best wishes and good luck to a class act. You'll find a new gig.
 
What a shame. Karen is one of the good guys. I have always been a fan.

But yeah. I'm sure as soon as MiniTrue gets word of a termination, Winston Smith erases the website and all traces that an employee ever existed, rendering them an "unperson."

Karen was the main reason that I listened to KQK in the mornings. She kept the show fun and added lots of personality. I hope she lands on her feet.
 
Well old karin can go back to being a nurse. I think she did hospice at a nursing home before radio. I'll be in one soon enough and looking for her. Woo hoo!

Listened to KQK this morning.
Didn't notice any "new direction" or "different direction" - it appears to just be a cost cutting measure.
