Karl & Cathy?

FROM ALL ABOUT COUNTRY

Karl Shannon Leaves WLXX-FM/Lexington
Lexington, Ky. Veteran air personality and well known nationally for his imaging voice, Karl Shannon departs his midday gig at Cumulus Country WLXX-FM/Lexington/92.9 The Bear.
-------------------------------------

I'm just sayin'..... Interesting timing! Weren't Karl Shannon & Cathy Martindale at 95WSM years ago? Mid-90' maybe? They could easily pick up where they left off.

Does anyone know what Katie & Sherm are doing now? Sherm was an institution. Would LOVE to hear him back on the air.

I saw Katie Haas pitching the Ralph Emery's "Memories" DVD on television recently. I caught only part of the commercial/infomercial, so if it is a segment of the Cathy Martindale/Ralph Emery pitch or one that stands alone, Katie was the talent.

The last time I saw Sherm, he was dispatching for a local police department.
What a waste of a great air talent.

Yeah...I've seen that a few times. Looks like Ralph decided to go with the first take
on every segment. Calling it sleepwalking is too kind...

I loved Karl & Cathy on WSM-FM in 1995. I thought they were great together, and found it bizzare when they were let go. But of course, that's radio. A bizzaro world of its own..

Yes, Sherman Novison is dispatching, but he's not the same Sherm we all new back in the 70's-80's, etc. at SM-95.
I thought the same thing until he confirmed it a year or so ago. Almost 100% sure!

Bruce Sherman, who was Sherm at 95.5, is a dispatcher for the Mt Juliet Police Department. Sherman Novoson was and is, I guess, a freelance radio reporter and will cover any story where there is free food.

plus if you should ever call the MJ city offices, Sherm (Bruce) is the voice on the phone awnsering message system.
