Karlson and McKenzie.. What did you think?

So today was Day 1 of Karlson and McKenzie on WZLX. I'm curious of what you guys thought? It seemed to me that nothing has really changed in their sound since the Eagle days except minus creepy Steve. It just seemed not really to fit to me on WZLX. Or at least the current ZLX though I suppose that could change. I guess ZLX always seems a little laid back which I'm not sure I mind. K&M seem like they would fit more on a high energy station like a WPRO or something. It's early will see but I'm curious what the rest of you think as the week goes on.

Good to see you've let them settle in before criticizing.

1 show is usually plenty to get a good read on a team right?

Unbelieveable.

I must agree let them at least learn the board!. Let them settle in, give them a month, then voice your displeasure ( those posts are more interesting to most anyway..lol)

I tuned in for a few minutes from Providence and thought they sounded pretty darn good, sounded like they had some spark which Morning Radio doesn't seem to have enough of lately.

Do they actually run their own board for the morning show? Or, does 'ZLX have a producer or studio engineer do it for them?

Karlson and McKenzie.. Didn't mess up their new call letters yet

What do I think? After day 2, I think K&M have the potential to get me to listen to them in the morning. I laughed or smirked at several of their comments.

It's not fair to judge them on day 2 or even wait until the end of week 2. I think they need to get comfortable in their new home. Just concentrating on the right call letters and logos can be distracting and daunting. Besides, I don't think that they have their full morning show all set yet. I'm sure they are just getting started and have some additions and modifications yet to come.

But, you asked what we thought after day 1 (or 2) and I think it is something that I will watch (and listen to). I reserve the right to change my mind after a few months but right now I have high hopes for K&M on WZLX.
