Re: I have known David Bernstein for many years...
I did hear the show and Kass wasn't "advocating" for the dog.
What Kass was doing was reacting to the predictable overreaction
hype we get from the media when these issues arise. We see the same
hysteria every time there's a shark attack somewhere.
Also, Kass wasn't putting the dog on a human level. What he was
saying is why put the dog down if you don't have to. Apparently
this dog has never shown any aggressive behavior before so is it
unreasonable to spare this dog a death sentence and find it a home
without children?
That'a a very reasonable topic, what do we do with animals when they
act out like animals? It's a very legit topic.
Kass had some very informative people call into the show who spoke
about babies/kids and dogs and how people should handle that dynamic.
The show was very appropriate.
