Another good choice is the Marti SC48. About a grand, but has good narrow beam width.
We bought a station, and moved studios, bought one of these for the transmit end (original transmit antenna was a Scala on a tower with five others used at the cluster the station came from--so we had to abandon it).
Soon found interference problems from the new site, I spent several days with a scanner tracking the problem down. Was surprised how narrow the Marti was, especially compared to the PR-450's used by other stations.
