Just if in case anybody is wondering there is no Kathy & Judy today on WGN Radio, they are going super sized on sports talk and sports play-by-play as Northwestern Men's Wildcats' football kicks off this morning at 11:00 A.M. against Illinois State. And this also means that Amy Guth will not be hosting the Wintrust Business Lunch and John Williams will also be off today as well giving him a weekend off. But it sounds like that this is the plan at least for this season, is if there will be a 11:00 A.M. kick off Sam Panayotovich will be hosting WGN Sports Extra, followed by pre-game and the kick off. And i know that he mentioned that is he in the Allstate Showcase Studio he is not in the showcase studio that faces Michigan Ave, he is in the same studio that Lou Manfredini was broadcasting his show from which will be studio A. But the plan is that after the game is over 3:00-7:00 P.M. will still be the Beat which is a sports talk show that is on weekends, that soon will be heard on Saturdays only if the Bears are scheduled to play on Sunday afternoons which that will kick off on September 11th. The next show that will be on the air that will not be sports related will be the Saturday night radio special with Amy Guth. And I have heard Sam mention that this will be in place when Northwestern Men's football is on WGN Radio when they have a 11:00 A.M. kick off. And there are so far two other Saturdays that they will have this early of a start October 1st, and October 22nd. All kick off times are set through October 29th. So use this schedule as a guide to when Northwestern will be playing, all the November games are at at time TBD, which I will think the kickoff time will be announced 10-12 days before game day.
