Katie and CBS plagiarize story; Producer fired...

Looks like CBS News is in trouble again...

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/headline/entertainment/4705180.html

NEW YORK — A CBS News producer was fired and the network apologized after a Katie Couric video essay on libraries was found to be plagiarized from the Wall Street Journal.

They are not identifying the fired producer, serves them right though, and obviously if any had any doubts there were no problems with CBS News right now, think again!

If only the had hired Roger Mudd instead of Blather all those years ago...

Or Bob Scheiffer for that matter.

I think that it is finally time for CBS to pull the plug on Katie's stale imitation of Mary Richards from The Mary Tyler Moore Show. At least Mary Richards was far more reasonable than Katie Couric.

Except that Mary was only the PRODUCER of WJM's newscast, not anchor (who was, of course, Ted Baxter).
