Katie Couric slaps producer

And now for the rest of the story...

She slapped him on the arm. Repeatedly. And banned the word "sputum". Big, fat, hairy deal.

What would be fun is if all of us could participate in re-enacting the slapping scene from Airplane, with Katie and the Black Rock top brass as the "victims".

There was a headline in another New York paper supposedly quoting Couric bemoaning the fact that she made a mistake leaving the Today Show to anchor the CBS Evening News. Tough break Katie, but you signed a contract and the suits at Black Rock are going to hold you to that, despite the continuing loss of viewers. At this rate informercials for male-enhancement pills will surpass the CBS nightly newscast.

Best thing to happen to NBC Today Show: Getting rid of Katie

Worst thing to happen to CBS Evening News: Getting Katie.

I use to watch CBS EN all the time, now I can't when she's on there. She just doesn't fit the bill in my opinion. Then again, when she was on the Today show, I couldn't watch that either.

Just get rid of Al on the Today Show, and I'll watch it more.

Bring Bob back and move Katie to the Early Show when it retools at the start of next year.

The only thing that's going to save the CBS Evening News ratings, is for the suits to release Couric from her contract, and put one Miss Rosie O'Donnell in the hot seat.
A better idea would be to have the obviously INCOMPETANT suits who hired Katie for the job fired, move Katie over 60 Minutes on an exclusive basis, have Harry Smith take over the nightly newscast and let Hannah Storm and Renee Syler co-host The Early Show themselves (Hey look at how well Good Morning America is doing on ABC with Robin Roberts & Diane Sawyer as co-hosts).

Thoughts?

Cheers :D

I thought that Katie had it in her contract that she would NOT anchor the morning show at CBS.

Katie = Bryant Gumbel of the 00's!!!! :D

Me, personally, I would watch Hannah Storm read the phone book. Something about her just does it for me (except for the way she pronounces "Appalachians."
