Katie Couric To CNN?

Not sure that's possible. The good news is that I can stop turning off WRAL at 6:30 when she comes on. My remote control will appreciate her move. Let's hope it happens soon.

What a great move for Katie. She'll be watched even less.

No truer words were ever written. At least CBS has viewers for their network programs (although not their nightly news).
CNN is just plain mediocre.

CBS should do a trade. Katie for Anderson. Just a idea. Anderson already does stories for 60 Mins. How would he do as CBS Evening News anchor?

Anderson Cooper is just awful. Katie Couric is no better.
CNN needs to drop this idea and find a way to get back to doing serious journalism. Cooper's "advocacy" journalism with opinion on full display does nothing but make CNN like Fox.
He's not a good anchor either.

Anderson Cooper could help CBS, though not just as an anchor. His stock is down a bit from where it once was, but he could still attract (or at least keep) eyeballs at CBS. Couric and CNN are not a good mix. From everything I've read, CNN is supposedly trying to position itself as the place for serious news. Katie Couric doesn't fit into that sort of operation at all. She'd be better off going back to the Today show - that is her element.

I thought Katie goes to CNN as Larry King's replacement. Anderson goes to CBS, either as Evening News anchor or to replace Scott Pelley on 60 Minutes when Pelley gets Evening News. King does quarterly specials for both CNN and CBS.

I ain't taking these rumors with a grain of salt. Katie is still #1 with the viewers even if she's been #3 in the ratings.

Which reminds me...when CBS' Walter Cronkite was sacked for the 1964 Democratic National Convention in favor of Robert Trout and Roger Mudd, there were some wild rumors spreading about him heading over to NBC, where Huntley and Brinkley ruled. Walter denied those claims, and Trout and Mudd bombed.

Huh? ??? :D ???

Not only is it pure nonsense, but this is one of the most convoluted things I've ever read here - and that's saying something......
