Katie Couric To Make "Major Announcement" On Today Show

Oh I hope she's leaving CBS! Please say yes! She does well with features, but NOT as an evening news broadcaster.

Why, pray tell, would she ever make such an announcement on an NBC program?

Not to kill the speculation/fantasy, but as someone else mentioned, all 3 networks are working together on a cancer mission.

Katie Couric from CBS Evening News, Brian Williams from NBC Nightly News, and Charlie Gibson from ABC World News are traveling together to all 3 morning shows.

I saw them on Good Morning America this morning. They made Katie say "Good Morning America" a second time, because she didn't show enough heart on the first try. ;D

It was interesting to see them all interacting together on a competitor's morning show.

CBS Early Show:
Harry Smith: I was watching Katie last night and ...
Brian Williams: You weren't watching me?
Charlie Gibson: You TiVo'd it right?

Of the three, Katie definitely seemed to be the one who wanted to be there, to talk about the subject at hand (cancer research).

...of course she was. She's the only one of the three to have lost both a spouse and a sibling to cancer...
